BrokenClaw’s Christmas Carols

My Christmas Carols page attracts the most visits from Internet users. During the holiday season that page often tops aChristmas bells thousand hits per day from all over the world. When I first started my Carols page in 1998, it was one of only a handful of lyrics sites on the Internet. Now you can find dozens of such sites, often plastered with advertisements. My page is still completely non-commercial, so the only payments I receive are the kind words of appreciation from visitors like you. Over the years, I’ve received feedback messages from more than twenty countries and nearly every US state, including Hawaii and Alaska. This blog replaces the Guestbook feature which I had on the website from November 2000 to December 2005, and I will always be grateful for the hundreds of messages I received during that time. If you find my Carols page helpful, feel free to leave a comment. You can include your Location in the Name box (e.g. Tom from Kansas). An email address is required for security reasons, but it is never displayed. You may also make requests or comments on the lyrics already posted.

  4. Thank you! Thank you for creating and maintaining this site! A coworker just forwarded your website to me, and, as a church music leader, choir director, one called upon to lead the singing of Christmas carols and secular songs at parties, etc, I am very grateful for your work, over the years, and for your generosity in sharing its fruits!

It was my childhood dream to get acquianted with some one native of from Australia, New Zealand America or any African country. I had a pen-friend when I was a child from England and she is no more. I am 68 yers old, retired as a Librarian working in a Higher Secondary School for more than 25 years. As a Librarian you can visualize what my interest could have been. Yes, knowing more about people from different parts of the world their lifestyle, livlihood, customs, likes and dislike and things like that. Now as a hobby I have taken to writing poems and poetries in English. I have written more than 400 big and small on various subjects, but many mainly based Lord Jesus Christ and The bible. I try to put everything I meditate daily in the form of verses. I come to know through this site you are really busy people and hence may not find any interest to answer me. But, I’ll be too glad and will defenately rejoyce if I am luky enough to recieve a reply from you.

Let me be the first to wish you for Christmas this year as we are a month ahead of it. Merry merry Christmas and may it be very special with Christ centred and filled with all blessings as He alone can bless you with!

  14. What a joy to be able to sing the lyrics to my favorite songs. Thanks for all your efforts and posting them on the net.

  15. I just have to tell you what a wonderful and very helpful website you have! If only everything on the Internet was so simple to find and easy to use! I needed to find Christmas Carols for our youth group to sing while ringing bells for the Salvation Army. Thank goodness I clicked on your site, I had all the songs I needed in 10 minutes ! Again, thanks so much for doing what you do !

P.S if there was a Internet President you’d have my vote! : )

  16. Aloha. I just visited your site for some Christmas lyrics. Great resource for the words that kind of escape me during caroling…getting old I guess. As you might have figured out, I’m from Hawaii, but now living in Sierra foothills after retiring and moving up here from Hawaii a couple of years ago. There are a some Hawaiian Christmas mele (songs) that I could send you if you want to add to your collection. Some, like the Hawaiian language version of Silent Night, are just translated versions. Let me know if you’d like them. Thanks for setting up the great site. Mahalo.

  17. I’m a Brownie Girl Scout leader in Missouri and just printed a bunch of lyrics for Caroling this evening with my troop. Thank you for all of your hard work. Your family, like mine, enjoy singing Carols. Happy Holidays! Brownie Troop 2259

  18. Your site was indeed very helpful to me. Thanks a million.

  19. We have just visited yr website giving us a lot of Christmas carols with their wordings. Going through the carols and singing them word to word gave us a lot of pleasure.

    THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN.

  20. Hey, Thanks for the Lyrics! I was looking for the Lyrics to Snoopy’s Christmas when I found your site. I got more great lyrics here. Thanks again!

  21. I tutor ESL and our party needed words for well-known carols, both secular and religious. Thank you for a great site which was very helpful. If you intend to add some more I would like to suggest some that we might sing in Spanish and English which are traditional in Mexico, but also known here in the U.S.

Have a beautiful Christmas filled with hope, good health, happiness and contentment.

  22. What a nice thing to do for people! I have bookmarked your site. Thank you so much, and a very Merry Christmas to you, and a healthy and productive 2008!

  23. This is indeed a very thoughtful compilation, and I am quite grateful. I have one suggestion: please put everything into a single text file for download purposes.

Best of the season to you and your family.

  24. I am looking for a Christmas song that was played at home when I was a child by my father. I am 59 now and I know the record was still in our possession until I was about 11yrs old. I think the name of the song was Christmas dinner, and that it was an American song. Part of the Lyrics are = Give me a big fat turkey or maybe a ham. Brown fluffy biscuits all covered in jam, blackberry huckleberry mince and pumpkin pie. The song finishes on the thanksgiving prayer at the table. This is a long shot I know, but any Ideas where I could find this song again.

My reply: I found your song, “Christmas Dinner” and posted it on the page. Enjoy!
